Artist's approach:

I had the opportunity to work on an existing object in connection with a given environment, the "Gordon Park". To make of the piano, a "utilitarian" object but artistic in its purpose, a new object generating and diffusing art. Thus an opportunity to rethink my artistic expression, to leave my studio to create a work of art from a place, to finally take place in this same place.

To honor this adequacy between the format of the support and its place of exposure, the subject "Landscape" was immediately my only choice in the logic of the composition and also in my imagination. Very quickly the urban landscape inspired me. It is full of symbols and diverse activities that enrich our lives and sharpen our eyes and our critical sense.

It is a wonderful opportunity to pay particular attention to all those essential elements that structure it, such as architecture, urban furniture, etc., while reserving a space for what could be my own works.

It is this game of positioning the "painting" (mine) in the "painting" (the work thus created) that has taken place on a "support" (the piano), which in turn becomes a work of art in a "Gordon Park" exhibition space.

Urban public art offers a new vision of place and of the work of art in general.
