The artist
Born in Kassel, Germany, Heide Messing has lived in Quebec since 1953. Actively involved in the arts since 1977, she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Concordia University (Montreal) in 1988. She is passionate about the art of inventing a new form. Whether in stone, bronze or monumental concrete, her designs reflect the role of women in contemporary society.
The artist of international standing is represented in galleries. Her work can be found in many collections in North America, Europe and Japan.
