Commemorative plaque “Lest We Forget”

Veterans Memorial Plaque

Made of granite and concrete, this commemorative plaque was erected in Logan Park on November 11, 2009 in honour of the soldiers who gave their lives defending their country during World War I. Sixty brass plates were also installed at the foot of the trees to honour of these brave fighters. The main plaque was sponsored by the Ville de Saint-Lambert, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 68 and the Lions Club of Saint-Lambert.

The following words are engraved on the plaque:

In this park the citizens of St-Lambert planted trees in memory of their fellow citizens who made the Supreme Sacrifice for their country in the Great War of 1914-1918. The sacrifice of these 60 heroes will forever be remembered. LEST WE FORGET.
