Visual and media arts and music

Hello. My name is Claude Jr Labonté-Lefebvre, often working under the name SUPER CLUB VIDÉO, irreverent artist born in 1991. I create all sorts of things on site and then rework them in my laundry room in Saint-Lambert. Driven by my obsessions and spontaneity, I’m constantly exploring significant human experiences, audacity, existentialism, traumas and power struggles in my various artworks.

My artistic process is non-disciplinary. I’m mostly interested in the unusual, the innovative, and the daring, and in whatever calls into question the known and recognized frameworks operating in current practices. I work in various fields, mainly photography, videos, sound art, music, and video games.

I regard my art as the creative process behind my creations, and that the results of this process, commonly called artworks, document this process. My work focuses on democratizing creation and on eliminating the gap between privilege and opportunity for artists, because creating is a universal process and art belongs to everyone.

I embody this stance by using artistic materials within easy reach of most people, by utilizing as few privileges as possible, and when I can, by sharing my stance with as many people as possible. I also embody it – through teaching or my artwork – when I share how and why I create with others.

But most important of all: I love green tea and candies.
