It was nature that first drew me to painting, and the courses I took helped me evolve constantly in this discipline.

Although I had produced a number of paintings on nature, my mental imagery occasionally led me toward more abstract subjects and portraiture. While oils were my favourite medium for a long time, today I use acrylics to express myself on both large and small surfaces.

For me, starting a new painting is always an adventure that nurtures and replenishes me, and – I hope – that gives pleasure, peace or inspiration to the observer. At the start of this new year, I continue my exploration, this time with watercolours.
