Mathieu Chaume is an artist jeweler and urban cabinetmaker, pioneer of the wooden ring in Quebec since 2017. He has been practicing this craft for eight years now. His expertise comes from leisure courses at the École d’ébénisterie d’art de Montréal and the École de joaillerie de Montréal.
Mathieu has helped more than 300 happy couples get married with custom-made rings. His fine woodworking object advertising program is suitable for any type of business wishing to promote the local eco-responsible economy.
In addition, Mathieu Chaume is the exclusive creator of a luxury pocketknife made entirely of exotic wood, including a sharp ebony blade. L’Atelier du bon bouleau, where he works, is the exclusive designer of the old beaver dam wood jewelry box, the Mont Blanc ring, the concrete ring from the old port of Montreal, and the Eastern Townships wine route ring.
Her style emphasizes handcrafted authenticity with recycled materials, often accompanied by a story linked to the provenance of the wood and the eco-responsible philosophy of her work. The aim is to provide each customer with a unique handcrafted experience, sending souvenir photos at each stage of creation.
Mathieu has already exhibited his work at salons des artisans récupérateurs, Salon des Métiers d’Art, Bijouterie MathieuBlanchard.ca and Bijouterie Lussier.
His message: Every ring is made to be loved. A unique craft experience that makes people feel good.
His favorite part of practicing his art is meeting with his customers to come up with unique ideas for custom creations that don’t exist in jewelry stores.
