Our city has made major contributions to the development of the railway industry. In fact, it was born thanks to the presence of the railway and grew up around it. Today, it continues to develop, while proudly taking the railway\u2019s presence into account.<\/p>\n\n<p>The Railway Association of Canada Hall of Fame honours the people, technologies and municipalities that have advanced Canada\u2019s railway industry. The Ville de Saint-Lambert was inducted into the \u201cCommunities\u201d subcategory, which honours communities regarded as having historical significance for Canada\u2019s railway system. CN\u2019s donation of the monument was accompanied by the planting of a red oak, which CN also offered the City to mark the occasion.
