Atalante graduated from the Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al (UQAM)with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1986. His work is based on life drawings created through observation of time lapses and space and inspired by both nature and people.<\/p>\n\n<p>Live models are the main source of inspiration for his current work. He creates a series of vivid black-ink life drawings on Chinese paper, which are then marouflaged on canvas.
