A very first outdoor photography exhibition for the Ville de Saint-Lambert

Published on October 4, 2022

The Ville de Saint-Lambert is proud to present its very first outdoor photography exhibition at the Coulée verte park.

This project is a continuation of the initiatives taken by the City to publicize local artists and their art. The artist was selected through a competition held in the community to find a local photographer. The artist chosen – Mélanie Bellemare – is presenting her “Nature humaine” exhibition. It includes seven photographs, along with an interpretation panel to help visitors understand her artistic process.

This series of images is a result of the artist’s in-depth reflection on Nature, but above all, on the intimate relationship between it and herself. During the course of this reflection process, the images revealed themselves for what they were. Simple thoughts, reflections, mirrors, projections. These images are windows onto her idea of Nature: a nature transformed and publicized, and even illusory.

The Ville de Saint-Lambert is proud to count this project among its cultural initiatives. The project falls under the cultural development agreement between the City and the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications du Québec (MCCQ).
