Discover various artistic disciplines in Saint-Lambert during the Journées de la culture

Published on September 16, 2021

From September 24 to 26, Saint-Lambert will shine the spotlight on arts and culture during the 25th edition of Journées de la culture.

To mark the occasion, the Ville de Saint-Lambert will be offering a broad program of activities that will allow residents to discover various artistic disciplines, as well as the artists who practice them.

Program features

Friday, September 24

  • Urban art circuit
The Foire d'art contemporain (FAC) de Saint-Lambert invites you on a tour of its urban art circuit. You’ll have the opportunity to discover a number of artworks by visual artists on display in the windows of some of our downtown businesses. The tour will be available until October 24.

Saturday, September 25

  • Exhibition of Photo Club Arémac
Members of the Photo Club Arémac are dedicated to black-and-white photography. They invite you to this exhibition featuring their best recent works.
  • “Sur la route du patrimoine” circuit
The Mouillepied Historical Society takes you on a guided tour—on foot or by shuttle (for persons with reduced mobility)—that focuses on various aspects of Saint-Lambert’s history, from its beginnings to the present day.
  • Mammoth hunt
During this activity, children aged 7 to 12 will make their own javelins, decorate them creatively, then compete in a mammoth hunting tournament!
  • “Les 3D” dance event
Discover “Les 3D,” a collective project by Diane Carrière, Dena Davida and Diane Thibaudeau, three mature female artists. The event will feature three original, interdisciplinary works that interweave the mediums of theatrical dance, video, music and oral conversation.

Saturday, September 25 and Sunday, September 26

Sunday, September 26

  • An afternoon trip through time
Les Chambristes du Grand Montréal offers you a convivial concert that will take you on a journey through time. Come enjoy an hour-long concert featuring this string quartet’s favourite musical repertoire. With musicians Loredana Zanca (cello), Zi Ye (viola), Veronica Ungureanu (violin) and Marie-Anne Rozankovic (violin).

Information and registration

All the activities are offered free of charge, but most require registration. Some also require a vaccination passport. Visit saint-lambert.ca/calendrier for full details on registration and health measures.
