Making art accessible being one of the goals of the Open Air Museum, the City of Saint-Lambert wanted one of the new works in the collection to have been produced during a cultural mediation activity. The goal of such an activity is to create situations in which citizens can meet and exchange ideas with artists and artisans.

Organized by the artist Dominique Payette, the cultural mediation project gave students from two classes at École Saint-Anges the chance to explore the concept of identity through creation.

The children worked alongside the artist, creating self-portraits while reflecting on their inner world.
