A laneway constitutes a specific element in the historical landscape of worker housing in Saint-Lambert. It forms part of the day-to-day decor. All the windows of all the kitchens look out onto this “panorama.” It is an extension of the dwelling, in other words, a continuation of the architecture.
The sculpture titled “La ruelle” is found near two types of buildings reflecting architectural trends in Saint-Lambert.
