Jeune Picasso

Marc Séguin

The body of Marc Séguin’s artistic production consists of large-format works of astonishing proportions, where both the abstract and figurative coexist within the same frame. Social and human critique always flank the recurrent themes of destruction, life and death.

A talented printmaker as well as prolific painter, Marc Séguin produced many prints, which constitute a large proportion of his artistic output.

Born in Ottawa in 1970, Marc Séguin obtained his Bachelor of Fine Arts at Concordia University in 1995 and now lives and works in Montreal and New York City.

His work can be found in numerous private, corporate and museum collections around the world, including the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal and the Musée national des beaux-arts in Quebec City.

Marc Séguin has also held more than 20 solo shows and participated in many more group exhibitions and international art fairs.
