Christine Larouche

A self-taught painter, I work on canvas and paper, in oil and acrylic on small and large formats. In the ’80s, I joined the classes/workshops of Frère Jérôme, a leading figure in Quebec contemporary art. I draw my influence from abstract art, which for me fully reflects my creativity and sensibility.

Because of the richness of my colors, oil paint is a medium that allows me to give texture, even to sculpt in the canvas. I can bring together acrylics, oils and pencils of all kinds in a single creation.
